The Welsh are known for their meads and metheglins in particular. Metheglin is simply a mead made with herbs and spices. They’ve been made for thousands of years and were originally used for medicinal purposes.
Ingredients:
- 3 lbs. clover or wildflower honey: Wildflower Honey
- 1 ounce Ginger (chopped)
- 1/10 ounce dried Thyme
- 1/4 ounce Yarrow: Dried Yarrow Flowers
- 1 ounce Dried Elderberries: Dried Whole Elderberries
- Lalvin 71B: Lalvin 71B Active Yeast
- Warm Water to fill to 1 US gallon
